My major project in 2017 was Against at the Almeida. Methuen published the play along with a new collection for which I wrote an introduction. In addition, I returned to EST after twenty years with my one-act Falling Away. Off the stage, I wrote about the challenges of writing in the Trump era for the New Statesman, and was interviewed for Fifty Playwrights on their Craft.
Now or Later in Rio de Janeiro
Now or Later has its Latin American premiere in Brazil in November.
Drama Book Shop event
I'll be reading, answering questions, and signing copies of Against and my new collection at 5pm October 10th at Drama Book Shop.
Against press
I did a Q&A with the Evening Standard and wrote for The Arts Desk on how Against came to be. On video, I spoke with the Almeida about my process on Against, and I did a podcast with Rob Icke where we have a wide-ranging discussion about my writing and the world. Finally, I wrote for the New Statesman about how I chose to respond to Donald Trump's election in the play.

Year in Review
In 2016 I began work on new projects. I also gave a brief lecture on René Girard; wrote on the post-Trump theatre landscape; and did in-depth interviews with The Creative Independent and the Journal of Adaptation in Film & Performance.
